Rebecca Brückmann

Dr. Rebecca Brückmann is a postdoctoral research associate
(wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin) at the Department of North American
History of the University of Cologne. She earned her Ph.D. from Free
University Berlin in 2014. Rebecca’s research focuses on the
sociocultural history of nineteenth and twentieth century North
America, in particular Southern and Southwestern history, the history
of race relations, gender history, and the history of borderlands. Her
article, „‚Work Mostly Done By Men‘: Cornelia Dabney Tucker and Female
Grassroots Activism in Massive Resistance in Charleston, 1950–1963“
will be published by the South Carolina Historical Magazine in
February 2017.
